Really????
This is a very long list of “interesting” facts. I have no evidence to support any of them as I found them on random internet pages! Don’t start to read this unless you have a while to waste. (the bit in brackets is my thoughts about these astounding(ly unfounded) facts)
If you yelled for 8 years, 7 months and 6 days, you would have produced enough sound energy to heat one cup of coffee.
(- It might hurt your throat a bit! Actually if you were continuously shouting you wouldn’t be able to eat or drink and would therefore starve or dehydrate!)
Banging your head against a wall uses 150 calories an hour.
(- I would say its probably more fun than weight watchers!)
Right-handed people live, on average, nine years longer than left-handed people do.
(– Hannah, don’t be too alarmed, but you’re a gonner!)
The ant can lift 50 times its own weight, can pull 30 times its own weight and always falls over on its right side when intoxicated.
(- Did they find this out shooting a budweiser advert?)
Polar bears are left handed.
(- So they all die 9 years before they should! That’s a tradgedy!)
The catfish has over 27,000 taste buds.
(- And yet it spends all its time at the bottom of the tank eating other fishes poo!)
A cockroach will live nine days without it's head, before it starves to death.
(- This seriously bothers me! Firstly because its scary and secondly because its completely disgusting)
Butterflies taste with their feet.
(- it must be a real drag when they step on dogs dirt!)
An ostrich's eye is bigger than it's brain.
(what? no no! im going to research this furthur....no im not!but i dont beleive it!)
Dentists have recommended that a toothbrush be kept at least 6 feet away from a toilet to avoid airborne particles resulting from the flush.
(- um, in this case I will have to place my toothbrush just outside the bathroom door from now on!)
No piece of paper can be folded in half more than 7 times.
(- Its true!.Even really big bits of paper! Try this at home! But get adult supervision. Risk of paper-cut: high)
Donkeys kill more people annually than plane crashes.
(-Bad donkey!)
The king of hearts is the only king without a moustache.
(Now theres a thing….I wonder why that is? I wonder if he once tried to grow one and the other kings laughed at him for having a bum fluff moustashe?)
The first owner of the Marlboro Company died of lung cancer.
(-Must mention this to grandad)
Michael Jordan makes more money from Nike annually than all of the Nike factory workers in Malaysia combined.
(- I have no trouble believing this….and it disgusts me!)
It is possible to lead a cow upstairs...but not downstairs.
(- Useful to know, if I hadn’t known this I may have ended up with a cow in my flat forever! Crisis averted!)
On average, 100 people choke to death on ball-point pens every year.
(I wonder how many are stabbed to death with fountain pens! Perhaps the government should issue licences to those who can prove they can handle stationary responsibly!)
Elephants are the only animals that can't jump.
(- I think someone once said that white men cant jump either!)
Women blink nearly twice as much as men.
(- I think the extra blinking might occur whilst applying mascara!)
A snail can sleep for three years.
(- So can my brother)

(- Was it a failed first attempt at a general anaesthetic?)

Camels milk has 10 times more iron than cows milk.
(Im got going to try it to find out….they might have spat in it!)

Hmmm...I know that some of these are simply untrue. The problem with the internet is that it gets information out very easily - and then, because people pass on emails containing "facts" like this, and might get the same email a few times, they believe they're actually true, and in fact they're made up. The bottom line, if you've read it somewhere and it doesn't list a reference, then you can't trust that information. (I read a book which listed loads of trivia like this and then showed through referenced information how they weren't true.)
The amazing thing is how many preachers use "facts" in their sermons that they've gathered from the internet.
One true thing you listed is that the King of Hearts is the only king in a pack of cards without a moustache. He's also known as the "suicide king" because he's always shown holding a sword which looks like it goes through his head.
You've got me going now, I might blog about this some time...
