the mega-crap trip!!

I dont want to go into too many details...but kevin ad I did not have very much fun on the mega bus....not that im surprsed at this or anythng...lets face it, it was always going to be bad, but it was like really bad!!

Its cramped, its always too hot or too cold, either way is uncomfortable! the people who get the mega bus are really odd people, they seem to go into this savage mega mentality where everyone is out for theirself and they wont apologise if they shove you! no! and they pretend to be sleeping so that the people who get on in newcastle cant get a seat (what a selfish girl that was, lying across three seats....she didnt wake up even after being prodded!)(and the tiny chinese woman who took the good leg room seat, as if she needed leg room she was about 4 ft tall, her feet didnt even reach the ground!)And for some reason these people can not wait to use the smelly toilet on the bus(NB(what does NB actually mean?) just no, i hope to get through this life without using one ever!)seriously, the bus driver had hardly even started the engine and they are jogging to the back of the bus like its a fun activity. One guy went 5 times!! well 5 times that we noticed, but we were asleep some of the time! I bet he was smoking in there actually, now i think about it. To top it all off the driver spoke way more than he needed to! and kept randomly tapping his micrphone to give us irrelevant information...or to ask directions!! (i kid you not!)

To repeat this experince two nights in a row was probably the most rediculous idea we (KEVIN) ever had! by nght two we were zombies,Kevin was so zombiefied that he nearly forgot me in a service station...we fell out...we didnt speak for about 3 hours, this was mainly because Kevin was asleep (although i woke him up to point out the angel of the north (which i doubt he remembers?) then i forgave him.

so, side effects of the excursion included being generally fatigued, sore throat, headache, runny and blocked nose, painful joints...

other than that i cant really complain i guess! : D will i get the mega bus again...im going to say no. I think I would sooner walk to London!

Im having fun in the garden today in my bare(i spelt this bear initially, for your mental image viewing pleasure i decided to tell you this) feet. its sunny, and i have discovered a clever way of making loose leaf tea in a mini cafe tierre (no i dont know hows that is spelled either) so that i dont have to make a whole pot and end up not enjoying cup two and beign completely disgusted with cup 3! Also, i realised today that for my whole life i have been hanging washing out all wrong! i have changed this now!

peace! (im a hippy, aparently a plastic one....ok)

    Hey Sam,

Sounds like an experience! But, for what its worth, you got to London in two days! It takes longer than that for us in Brisbane to get to Melbourne! And where did we end up? Melbourne! Just jealous! Hope you had a great time at the destination if not the journey. Hey, great tales to tell!

ps, NB (Note Bene)- note well. (am I pretentious or what? - don't answer!)

    Hey Sam,

Well now I loved Edinburgh, Scotland in general, about a thousand times more than London and England, but I still have a soft spot for the dirty old town. Advantages of just visiting! I should say, to be fair, I loved parts of England too, particularly Cornwall, where my Mother's family come from.

Melbourne isn't bad, certainly not as pretty as Sydney but, in my opinion, much nicer in terms of personality! Sydney is like the London of Australia I reckon. If you can live well it is brilliant, if you are short of cash it can swallow you whole!

Now Brisbane, where I grew up and live, is very laid back, sub-tropical, and looked down upon by Sydney and, to a lesser extent, Melbourne! But we are the gateway to the Gold Coast and the tropical North and the southerners (called mexicans often by Queenslanders) flock to live here, at one stage 1500 people a week, for the lifestyle and sunshine and then spend all their time complaining about how much better their home states are!

    Don't get me started!

Anyway, Melbourne is very cosmopolitan with a big Greek and Italian influence and PASSIONATE about AFL, aussie rules football. It's a national game now but it started there. Actually the Brisbane Lions won the grand final three years in a row and almost won a fourth, and didn't the Melbourne crowd HATE that.

I suppose I should shut up!
