another sunny day! and im stuck at a desk
im sitting looking out at a sunny day and thinking of the fun things i could be doing in the sunshine. why are saturdays not rainy and miserable so that im not missing out?? so i have been promted to write a poem about saturdays, its also about my youth...this is deep!!!!
saturday used to be my favorite day of the week when i was little
and i used to look forward to the exciting things i could do
the day to do everything and the day to do nothing
unless its the day you have to go to work
ruined forever is the saturday feeling
dread the saturday morning alarm
and now i wish it was still
yesterday
see what i did there? thats called an acrostic poem!and im going to go and do some work now!

Good for a first attempt, Hannah.

Heaven-sent
And always thoughtful
Never boring
Nor falling short of wonderful
A shining star, ever so bright
Hannah, you are a true delight.
That wasn't very good, it has some stupid partial rhyme going on. I will work on it.

Jovial, until the very end,
Always will he be a steadfast friend. I
Met him on this earthly plain, and
Ever til I do ascend, He will be, a strong and
Solid man, upon whom I know I can depend.
Again, not very good. Sorry for invading your blog with acrostics Sam, and I haven't even written one for you yet. Don't worry I will eventually, but right now, I really need to sleep.

Sam, you simply have been, and are,
A truly gracious girl so far.
Much can be said of your grace and beauty,
And to avoid such things would breach my gentlemanly duty.
Never was it my intention to invade upon your poetic reflection.
Truly though such fine words did catch my eye, and,
Held within such introspection, are words of wisdom, with such force that I must think upon my own reflection.
Just let your mind be drawn back.
A time long gone, when
You and I did meet, in a Deep Pan Pizza,
Not far off of Sauchiehall Steet.
English, you said, was your specialist subject.
Musing on this, I felt the need to interject
About prepositions and, as I recall, the present perfect tense.
Rarely have I felt so wise, even if it was only in my own eyes.
Yet disrespect I most certainly did not intend, hardly ever is my intention to offend.
Even now I sit and wonder, on this warm yet windy
Late afternoon, if I will have the chance to see you soon.
Interestingly enough, I feel much
Zeal to see dear Hannah, who is sweeter than marshmallow fluff,
And such an opportunity has presented itself amidst so much other stuff.
Bless your cotton socks for such a concept surely rocks.
Eagerly I do await, for
Tuesday I certainly anticipate, for then, you see, I shall meet both you and
Hannah on the street...in Granton.
Gosh your name is very long,
It would have been quicker to pen a bestselling song,
But you are worth it, you truly are, and trust me please when say, I'm honestly not that
Bizarre.

Ok, that was pretty poor, I do apologise, but I really was running out of creativity.
